Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is a very popular procedure for women and among the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedures. A saline-filled implant is inserted under the crease in the breast, around the nipple or through the armpit. The implant can be placed under the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle. After surgery, breasts will appear "fuller" and more shapely in contour. Incision scars will fade or disappear over time.
In certain unique instances silicon implants can be used.
We use advanced pain management techniques, which can greatly reduce and sometimes eliminate the postoperative pain that can sometimes be associated with this surgery. Many of our patients do not need to use any narcotic pain medications, thus avoiding the potential side effects of those drugs, and enjoying a quicker and more pleasant recovery.

Breast Lift
Over time, the effects of gravity along with the loss of the skin's natural elasticity begins to have a negative impact on the appearance of a woman's breasts. These factors, combined with pregnancies and nursing will often cause the breasts to lose their youthful shape and firmness.
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. The procedure can also reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple). Breast implants inserted in conjunction with a mastopexy procedure can increase both firmness and size.

Breast Reduction
Large, pendulous breasts may cause a woman to experience various medical problems caused by the excessive weight of the breast tissue. Problems with posture, skeletal deformities, back and neck pain, and skin irritations are common with this condition. Bra straps often leave indentations in the shoulder area. Many women, starting as early as the teenage years, are very self-conscious if they have unusually large breasts.
Breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) removes fat, glandular tissue, and excessive skin, resulting in smaller, lighter and firmer breasts that are better-shaped in proportion to the rest of the body.

Breast Reconstruction
Reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy due to cancer or other disease is quite possible with today's surgical procedures. Using the newest techniques, a plastic surgeon is often able to create a breast that is similar in form and appearance to that of the natural breast. A consultation will provide you with information on the many available options for post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.

Liposuction
Now among the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures, liposuction (also known as "lipoplasty" or "suction lipectomy") sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat from areas around the thighs, knees, buttocks, waist, hips, abdomen, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms.
Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, but the procedure can eliminate areas of fat that are unresponsive to typical weight-loss methods, and improve body contour.
In many cases, Ultrasound-Assisted (UAL) or Power-Assisted Liposuction can greatly enhance your results. We use the newest Ultrasound technology available. This advanced Ultrasound technology is more effective, yet gentler on the tissues. This allows us not only to treat the difficult areas more effectively, but also to treat the more delicate areas, such as the neck, inner thighs, etc. with a gentler sculpting touch, achieving results that are clearly superior to traditional liposuction techniques.

Abdominoplasty
Generally referred to as a "tummy tuck," abdominoplasty removes excess fat and skin from the abdomen.
The improvement in contour can be quite dramatic, with better-fitting clothes, even getting back in a bathing suit when you never thought you would, and greatly improved self-esteem.
The procedure helps to improve the contour of the abdomen and to narrow the waist by tightening the abdominal muscles. Women, with stretched abdominal areas due to previous pregnancies, can benefit considerably from abdominoplasty. Other individuals whose skin have lost some of its elasticity and are slightly obese can experience an improvement in their abdominal area.
If you are in generally good physical shape but are concerned about abdominal fat deposits or loose skin that does not respond to diet and exercise, the procedure can potentially reduce or even eliminate a protruding abdomen. Abdominoplasty will produce a permanent scar, which can possibly extend to both sides of your hips, although the scar will likely be located below the bikini or bathing suit line.
A "modified" abdominoplasty can sometimes be performed when the full procedure is not required, usually resulting in a shorter scar.

Arm Lift
Brachioplasty is surgically recontouring the arms. The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia.
Excessive skin is removed, sometimes in conjunction with a liposuction procedure to remove fat from the arms. For removal of large amounts of skin, an incision is required that runs from near the elbow to the armpit. The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm toward the back), but some scarring may always be visible. More moderate skin removal is sometimes possible with a smaller incision, which is limited to the armpit area to try to keep the scar better hidden.

Body Lift
A "lifting" of the entire trunk (abdomen, flanks, and back) and sometimes of the buttocks and thighs, is sometimes needed, especially after large amounts of weight loss. Excessive skin and loose tissues are removed, and the contour is improved by "lifting and tightening" in a circumferential fashion.
This is usually an extensive procedure that requires general anesthesia, at least a short hospital stay, and a more involved recovery period than other standard body contouring procedures. For the right person, the rewards can be great, completing the process following weight loss and restoring improved contour.

Facelift
Over time, the long-term effects of gravity, exposure to sun, dry air, and general stress takes its toll on an individual's face and neckline. Jowls can develop under the jawline with folds and fat deposits. Sometimes creases begin to form between the nose and the mouth.
A facelift can considerably reduce these signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening the underlying muscles, and redraping the skin around the neck and face. Facelifts can be done alone, or frequently performed in conjunction with another procedure such as a browlift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. If your problem areas are limited to the neck, a more conservative procedure, known as a "necklift" will be recommended. In some cases, a facelift can reduce the outward signs of aging by ten or fifteen years.

Contour Threads ô
A new minimally invasive procedure is available for patients who desire a younger appearance of the mid-face and brow without undergoing a facelift or brow lift. FDA-approved Contour Threadsô are thin, flexible sutures that are threaded underneath the skin from the ear to the hairline to rejuvenate sagging foreheads, eyebrows and cheeks. When the threads are pulled gently, tiny barbs lift the sagging tissue into a subtly higher, more youthful position that reflects the patient's natural facial contours. The sutures are left in place to maintain the effects, which are further enhanced and supported over time as the body produces natural collagen and elastin fibers around the threads. The entire procedure takes about an hour under local anesthesia.
Contour Threadsô are colorless, so they can't be seen even in patients with pale or thin skin. They are made of polypropylene, a material used in dissolvable stitches. The threads can be removed later on for patients who choose to have a facelift or brow lift or who wish to reverse the procedure.

Blepharoplasty
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is designed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure can correct drooping upper lids that tend to sag with time and the puffy bags below the eyes. Blepharoplasty can be done as a single procedure, or in conjunction with other facial surgery such as a facelift or a browlift.

Rhinoplasty
Surgery to reshape the nose (rhinoplasty) is among the most common plastic surgery procedures. This procedure can reduce or increase the size of the nose, remove an unwanted hump, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the width of the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip. The procedure restores an improved balance between the nose and other facial features. We take great care to achieve a natural result and to avoid the "surgical" look.

Forehead Lift
A forehead lift or "browlift" is used to correct a drooping browline (eyebrow area) reducing the horizontal lines and furrows (worry lines) that often make a person appear angry, sad or tired. The procedure creates a refreshed, youthful appearance to the forehead area above the eyes.
When performing a forehead lift procedure, muscles and tissue areas that droop or cause creases are removed or corrected to smooth the skin on the forehead to reduce frown lines and raise the eyebrows. There are two surgical methods, and during your initial consultation the procedure that works best for you will be recommended. The first is the most conventional method where a surgical incision is hidden just above the hairline. Browlifts are also performed using an endoscope, which enables the procedure to be performed with a minimal number of incisions. While the traditional method can sometimes attain more lift, both methods create smoother, flatter skin on the forehead.

Laser Skin Resurfacing
Also known as "laser peel," laser skin resurfacing usually takes less than 1? hours (sometimes just a few minutes) depending on the size of the area being treated. The procedure uses a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser beam, which vaporizes the upper layers of damaged skin at controlled levels of penetration. Also used is Erbium Laser beam.
The procedure removes areas of damaged or wrinkled skin often caused by prolonged sun exposure. Laser resurfacing can minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and the eyes and is also effective in treating facial scars and skin areas with uneven pigmentation.
Other procedures done in our office are sclerotherapy, Botox, TCA peels, glycolic acid peels and BioMedic peels.

Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a finely tuned sophisticated procedure done with the use of laser. This specific laser is designed to remove the growth center at the base of the hair follicle. The laser emits a gentle beam of light that passes through the skin, to the hair follicle, where it is absorbed. Upon absorption, the laser energy is transformed into heat, which can disable the follicle.
The majority of the body parts are appropriate for the use of this laser. It is essentially a painless procedure, it can be performed in the office and does not require anesthesia. The laser is FDA approved and in general 3 laser treatments 4 weeks apart are required for complete removal of the hair in the region.
