Improving Imperfections in Your Nose with Rhinoplasty

A skilled rhinoplasty specialist can improve a variety of imperfections in your nose. Using rhinoplasty your surgeon is able to reshape the nose, altering the appearance to meet your goals for results. Some of the most common nose imperfections treated with nose surgery are:

  • The tip of the nose
  • The Bridge of the nose
  • The wide bony portion of the nose
  • Wise base of the nose
  • Wide nostrils
  • The angle between the nose and the lip

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose due to one or more of these imperfections, rhinoplasty may be right for you.

During your rhinoplasty consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, it is important to clearly communicate your desired results. It may be helpful to bring photos pf noses you like to give your surgeon a better idea of the look you are trying to achieve. While even the most skilled surgeons can not create every nose, your surgeon will do his or her best to make your desired improvements to your nose so that you are happy with the outcome.

    Rhinoplasty – Nose Job

Most people are unhappy with their noses for either aesthetic or health reasons. Deviated Septums are one of the most common reasons people choose to have Rhinoplasty. Having one can make it very difficult to breath properly. The other popular reason people choose Rhinoplasty is for it’s aesthetic benefits. Some people feel self-conscious that their noses are too large or disproportionate to the rest of their face, some have bumps and disfigurements caused by injury, and still others feel their noses are too small or undefined.

The procedure itself, whatever the reason, generally takes about an hour to complete and the results are instantaneous. Of course there will be some initial swelling and bruising, but it should go down considerably over the coming days and weeks. Your bandages will then be removed anywhere from one to two weeks after the procedure and most patients return to work within a matter of days. Of course, every patient’s recovery is different, so it is important that you listen to your body and consult with your doctor if you have any questions.

Rhinoplasty – Nose Surgery Improving the Balance of Your Facial Features

There are a number of reasons a person considers a nose job or Rhinoplasty. Some have trouble breathing due to a structural abnormality while others simply do not like the way their nose looks due to genetics or injury. Rhinoplasty can correct the physiological issues as well as bring symmetry to a persons face. A skilled board certified plastic surgeon can help you achieve facial harmony and relieve breathing problems associated with a misshaped nose.

The nose has both an aesthetic and a physiological purpose. Physiologically, it is our main avenue through which we breathe. Aesthetically, the nose is a central focus of our face, providing balance and harmony to our facial features. The shape of the nose helps one to breathe properly, so if there are any abnormalities, either because of genetics or prior injury, a person may experience trouble breathing and snoring. In a similar way, when there is injury to the nose or some kind of abnormality the symmetry of ones face can be thrown off. Rhinoplasty procedures can be used to remedy nose abnormalities no matter what the cause.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose or would like to discuss how Rhinoplasty can help relieve your breathing problems, schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Rhinoplasty – Nose Surgery

A nose that is out of proportion with the rest of the face can disrupt facial harmony and cause low self-esteem. There are many reasons which cause a person to be unhappy with their nose. A nose which is too large or too small for the face can throw off the other features of the face. A nose which has bumps or indentations evident in the profile or which the nostrils are too large or misshapen, can all be fixed by a Rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty is a surgery in which the shape or function of the nose is improved. Functional nose issues include a deviated septum- which is the most common and causes a blockage in the airway making it difficult to breathe properly. Rhinoplasty, also called a Nose Surgery, can improve both the size, shape and function of the nose. Rhinoplasty may also be done in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a chin or cheek implant to ensure a better facial harmony and symmetry overall.

    Rhinoplasty Surgery

A nose which is too large in proportion to the rest of the face can make the other features of the face appear much smaller than they actually are, and vice versa. There are several aesthetic reasons one may have for desiring a change in their nose through Rhinoplasty surgery besides a nose being too large or too small on the whole. The nostrils may be too large, too small or misshapen, the profile of the nose may show indentations or bumps which are undesirable and so on.  In addition to aesthetic reasons, there are also functional reasons someone may seek out a Rhinoplasty procedure. Difficulty breathing through the nose is a common problem and most often due to a deviated septum.

All of these issues can be resolved through Rhinoplasty, or Nose Surgery. The precise incision placement and procedure depends on the individual’s needs and goals, but Rhinoplasty has helped countless people achieve the aesthetic facial harmony and nose function they desire. To learn more about Rhinoplasty and if it may be right for you, contact a board certified Plastic Surgeon in your area for a consultation.
