Face Lift and Neck Lift

Many men and women wish to achieve a more youthful facial appearance as the common signs of again begin to appear. These days there are more options than ever when it comes to facial rejuvenation, from minimally invasive to non-invasive to surgical. For men and women with more advanced states of aging, surgical options offer the most effective and long lasting results. Often the popular Facelift procedure is complimented with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Lift), Brow Lift or a Neck Lift.

The Neck Lift procedure combined with the Face Lift procedure eliminates sagging jowls, a flabby neck and creates a contour along the jaw line. Together they create highly successful, natural and beautiful results. Take a look at our Face Lift and Neck Lift Before and After Gallery to see some of the results past patients have enjoyed by the hand of some of our featured Plastic Surgeons.

Tummy Tuck Scars

An important concern for many people who are considering Abdominoplasty, also called Tummy Tuck surgery, is the scars it can leave behind. In any kind of surgical procedure, you can expect to be left with some kind of scar. The severity of the scar often matches the severity of the procedures and size and length can vary. Thus, patients who are getting more extraneous work done will likely have a bigger scar than those who are in need of less work.

Patients who have a great excess of loose skin and fat will most likely be in need of a full tummy tuck which consists of tightening the abdominal muscles, removing fat deposits and excess skin. This kind of extensive procedure generally leaves a scar which runs from hip to hip. Most plastic surgeons will try to keep this scar along the area that will be hidden by most underwear and swimwear. View before and after photos of those who’ve undergone Abdominoplasty.

My Plastic Surgeon USA is committed to helping those interested in cosmetic surgery connect with board certified plastic surgeons in their area. Blepharoplasty – Eyelid Lift

Our eyelids are made up of three main components: skin, muscle and fat. As we age these three components begin to lose their structure causing them to sag and droop. This can make us look older than we are and more tired. To improve the eyelids there are three different areas which can be operated on: the Inner Lower, the Outer Lower, and the Upper Eyelid. The “inner” and outer” refer to whether the incision was made inside of the eyelid or outside the eyelid on the natural crease. Obviously the “upper” and “lower” refer to the upper eyelid or lower eyelid. It is possible to have both the upper and lower eyelids treated at the same time, too.

Blepharoplasty, more commonly referred to as an Eyelid Lift, is a procedure to remove excess fat, skin or muscle to create smoother, more alert and youthful looking eyes. Sometimes a patient presents with a few issues which can be improved through Blepharoplasty, such as puffiness, excess skin folds and wrinkles, along with a few issues which cannot be improved through Blepharoplasty, such as dark circles, crows feet or a heavy brow. To improve on the latter, a Plastic Surgeon may suggest a combination Blepharoplasty with another facial rejuvenation procedure such as a brow life, face lit or dermal fillers.

Happy Independence Day!

It’s America’s birthday and we’re all throwing a party. There will be giant exploding candles in the sky for her to make her coming years wishes. No cake, but plenty of BBQ’d burgers and dogs. The fourth of July is a great time for family and friends to come together and celebrate, to recognize how fortunate we are to live where we do and have the freedoms we have. How will you be spending your fourth?

Arm Lift Surgery – Brachioplasty

Do you feel like you’ve grown wings, but cannot fly? Many men and women suffer from sagging underarm fat and skin. This can be due both in part to being genetically predisposed to gather and store excess weight there and also a consequence or losing weight quickly leaving your skin unable to adjust to the weight loss. As we get older our skin loses its elasticity as well, causing our skin to sag and hang. If you are frustrated with underarms that keep waving long after you’ve stopped, you may be considering Brachioplasty.

Brachioplasty, also called Arm Lift, is a procedure that tightens the excess skin under the arm and also can involve liposuction to remove unwanted fat cells that have been resistant to diet and exercise. Brachioplasty, when done after weight loss to cure hanging skin, is often done in addition to several other lifting procedures as a part of a total Body Lift which generally includes all or some variation of the following: Tummy Tuck, Thigh Lift, Breast Lift, Face and Neck Lift. You will likely be considered a good candidate for Brachioplasty if you are in good health, at a stable, healthy weight and have been for several months, do not smoke and have realistic expectations for your procedure. Don’t expect to wake up with the arms of Madonna, but do expect an improved, tighter, smoother, younger looking version of your own.

Reducing Strain – Reduction Mammaplasty

Every year hundreds of thousands of women in the United States alone undergo Breast Augmentation to increase the size of their breasts, this is common knowledge, but what of the women who are born with naturally, un-proportionately large breasts? Many people do not realize the physical and emotional strain this can cause. For women with exceptionally large breasts, chronic neck, back and shoulder pain often persists.

Simple things like exercise, shopping and even sleeping can become difficult due to pain, trouble breathing and an inability to find clothes which properly fit and flatter without causing them to look much heavier than they are. In addition, emotional strains are often placed on those with larger breasts and can cause them to feel self-conscious in social situations. Breast Reduction surgery has helped countless women every year alleviate these ailments.

Breast Reduction, also known as Reduction Mammaplasty is a procedure to reduce the size of the breasts by removing excess skin, fat and glandular tissue. This surgery has been extremely effective in giving women smaller, lighter, and firmer breasts. Most women, after a Reduction Mammaplasty, find a new confidence in their bodies as well as experiencing a more enjoyable, pain free life. If you are ready to learn how a Breast Reduction surgery can improve your life, find a qualified plastic surgeon near you and schedule a consultation to explore your options!

Liposuction Candidates

Liposuction, also known as Lipoplasty, is the term used to describe a surgical procedure that vacuums the stubborn fatty deposits out of a specific, localized area of your body using a long, skinny tube called a cannula. A truly ideal sounding solution to many, but there are several things to considering seriously before make your decision to undergo Liposuction. The first of which is understanding if it is the best option for you. You will need to asses your health and your expectations.

Ideal candidates are in good health and have been at a stabilized weight for an extended period of time. You should also not be a smoker, as is the case for any surgical procedure. In most cases, the ideal situation for Liposuction is someone who has an overall healthy diet and has tried exercise to eliminate their problem areas with little to no results. Liposuction is a great option for those stubborn fat deposits that can be hereditary and difficult to overcome with diet and exercise.

Ideal candidates should also not expect perfection from the procedure. Liposuction will not give you a new body, it can only give you a better contoured version of your own. It is best to discuss your goals with your Plastic Surgeon to find out if they are attainable through Liposuction.

Thigh Lift or Thighplasty

Having thick and dimpled thighs are a tender source of self-consciousness for many people. The not-so-affectionately nicknamed “Thunder Thighs” can torment otherwise sane people into developing a real fear of wearing shorts in public. It’s no way to live and unfortunately, oftentimes it’s genetics that have predisposed us to having either thick or thin thighs so that no matter how many legs lifts you may do, or how many miles you run, your thighs will only ever naturally be a certain size.

Thankfully we now live in tech-filled world full of options. No longer are you stuck with what your great-grandmother passed down to you from the old country. Now you get to have a say in the body you walk around in and you can finally achieve the thighs of your dreams. Thighplasty is designed to remove the excess skin from the thighs which is causing the sagging appearance, often prevalent after weigh loss. A Thigh Lift can also be done in combination with Liposuction to achieve thinner, firmer and smoother looking thighs.
