Breast Reduction Surgery

With over 300,000 increasing the size of their breasts with breast augmentation, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would want to decrease the size of their breasts. But what may seem like a blessing to some can really be a living nightmare for others. After breast reduction surgery, many women who had extra large breasts are able to return to a more normal lifestyle.

Women with breasts that are too large for their body often suffer from physical and emotional pain. Large breasts are often very heavy causing women back, neck and shoulder pain.  Clothing that fits properly is often difficult to find. Women with exceptionally large breasts often avoid social situations such as the beach in fear of exposing their breasts. Breast reduction surgery can alleviate the emotional and physical affects of large breasts.

Using breast reduction surgery, your breast surgeon will remove excess fat, skin and breast tissue. In many cases, the size of the areola can also be reduced. The goal of breast reduction surgery is to create smaller, more firm breasts that are in better proportion to the rest of the body. Women who have undergone breast reduction surgery often report not only complete relief from their physical pain, but also a restored self confidence.

A consultation with a plastic surgeon is the first step in achieving the breasts you desire. My Plastic Surgeon USA can help you find a skilled breast reduction surgeon in your area. All surgeons featured at My Plastic Surgeon USA are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and are dedicated to providing their patients with exceptional medical care.

Male Breast Reduction – Treating Gynecomastia

Brought on during puberty, many adolescent men suffer from a condition known as Gynecomastia, or overdeveloped breasts tissue in men causing the chest to have a more feminine appearance than normal. While many men out grow this condition, some men never do and the condition can be especially traumatizing emotionally for these men. Gynecomastia has varying degrees of severity from slight to severe and occasionally it may even only develop in one breast instead of both.

For men with persistent Gynecomastia, a Male Breast Reduction surgery is often the best option for improving self-confidence and creating a more normal, masculine chest appearance. The incisions for this procedure are generally made around the areola, through which excess fatty and glandular tissue is removed. In some cases excess skin may also be removed and Liposuction is sometimes combined, if necessary, to create the best results.

The success rates for those who have undergone Male Breast Reduction is very high. Take a look a the Before and After Photo Gallery to get an idea of the results that are possible.  Then, schedule your consultation to learn more about if Male Breast Reduction is right for you.
