Latisse - Newport Beach Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Grover
Everyone wants long, beautiful eyelashes, right? Many women across the nation are discovering a new way of replacing lost eyelashes with a new treatment called Latisse. It has been approved by the FDA and is specifically designed to thicken, darken and lengthen eyelashes in as little as eight weeks.
This new drug also has exciting possibilities for men and women who've lost their eyelashes due to chemotherapy treatments for cancer.
CNN Medical Corespondent Judy Fortin interviewed Mary Johnson, a 56 year old cancer survivor, who lost her hair and eyelashes as a result of her chemotherapy for breast cancer:
"She said she could put a wig on her head, but for the rest of her face she had to "fake it" by drawing in a lash line and eyebrows with cosmetics.
Johnson tried some over-the-counter lash products, but she said none of them worked.
She was smiling as she received her first dose of Latisse.
"Until you have lost your eyelashes, you don't really realize how hard it is to put eye makeup on," she said. "When you lose your eyelashes you just don't look the same."Latisse is available from Newport Beach Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Grover whose practice specializes in facial rejuvenation, including Botox, Juvederm and Latisse.
