Working Moms Use Botox
Starlets and superstars aren't the typical users of Botox, says the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Most Botox users are middle-aged working mothers in their 40s and 50s, according to a new ASAPS survey. The most frequently cited reason in the survey was "to look more relaxed, less stressed."

Finance Your Surgery
Some people rely on health insurance to cover the costs of surgery, but in actuality, if you are getting surgery for cosmetic purposes, the chances of being covered are slim.
Generally, health insurance will not cover the costs of surgery or any related expenses and most people that seek plastic surgery are not able to pay the full amount upfront. Because of this, My Plastic Surgeon USA offers plastic surgery financing options to make covering these costs feasible.

Saline or Silicone...how do I choose?
Breast implants can serve one or more of a number of purposes; breast cancer victims can use breast implants for reconstructive purposes after mastectomy, or women with asymmetrical breasts may use a single breast implant to balance the difference in size.
Following pregnancy, many women opt for breast implant surgery to correct reductions in breast size, resulting from fluctuating hormones. And of course many breast implant candidates are simply interested in creating a more flattering contour.

Breast Augmentation Information
Breast Augmentation will take anywhere from 1-2 hours, dependant on the incision location and the patient. Your incision location, and the location of the implant, will depend on your anatomy and the recommendation of the plastic surgeon.
The incision can be made in 4 different locations. It can be made in the crease, where the breast meets the chest, around the areola (dark skin around the nipple), through the armpit, or through the belly button (navel incision is not possible with silicone breast implants). Your plastic surgeon will recommend the best incision location for you, which will give you the best results and the least amount of scarring.

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) - The Procedure
Blepharoplasty usually takes 1 - 3 hours, depending on the extent of the surgery. Typically, if you are having all four eyelids worked on, the plastic surgeon will work on the upper eyelids first, and then the lower eyelids. The plastic surgeon will make incisions in the creases of your upper eyelids and just below the lashes for the lower eyelids. The plastic surgeon will then work through these incisions, removing the skin from the primary fatty tissue and muscle. The plastic surgeon will remove excess fat and usually will trim the extra skin and muscle. Your incisions will then be closed.

What is "TMJ" or "TMD"?
"TMJ", although it has become almost a household word, is a non-specific, catch-all term for a variety of pain/dysfunction conditions of the head and neck. It was originally derived from "Temporomandibular Joint", your jaw joints - once thought to be the source of most of these ailments.
Today we know that there are many causes of head and neck problems that may or may not be related to the TMJ. For this reason, although not as widely familiar most dentists use "TMD" (for temporomandibular disorders) to more accurately describe the condition.
