The Breast Lift Procedure
Breast Lift (mastopexy) usually takes 1-3.5 hours. There are multiple techniques used for mastopexy, but the most common is an anchor-shaped incision. This follows the natural curve, or shape of the breast. This incision will outline the area of where the breast skin will be removed, and also will identify the new location of your nipple. When the excess skin is removed, the nipple, and areola, are repositioned to the elevated position. The skin is then brought down and reshapes the breast. Your plastic surgeon will usually put the stitches around the areola, and also along the lower crease of the breast.
If you are having a breast lift, with implants (which is a very common procedure) the implant will be placed in a pocket, directly under the breast tissue, or deeper, under the muscle of the chest.
Patients with smaller breasts and nominal sagging, may get a version of the breast lift that requires less incisions. One common procedure is the "doughnut breast lift" or "doughnut mastopexy."

Techniques Used for Breast Reduction
There are multiple techniques used for breast reduction, but the most common is an anchor-shaped incision. This follows the natural curve, or shape of the breast. This incision will outline the area of where the breast skin will be removed, and also will identify the new location of your nipple. When the excess skin is removed, the nipple and areola are repositioned to the elevated position. The skin is then brought down and reshapes the breast. In some cases, your plastic surgeon will use liposuction to remove extra fat from the armpit area. Also, in some cases, where the breasts are very large, the nipples and areolas may have to be completely removed. This does result in loss of sensation in the nipple and areola tissue.

Facelift Information
A Facelift procedure typically will take several hours, sometimes longer. In some cases, your plastic surgeon may schedule two different sessions, depending on how extensive your case is.
Plastic surgeons use different approaches for facelift, depending on your bone structure and there technique. The location of the incision will also depend on your bone structure, but will be discussed with you during your consultation. Some plastic surgeons will complete one side of the face first, and then move on to the other side, and other plastic surgeons will move back in forth between the sides. This is dependent on the surgeon's technique.
Your plastic surgeon will typically make incisions above your hairline near the temples, extend it to the front of the ear, and continue to the rear of the earlobe to the lower scalp. If your case requires work on the neck, the plastic surgeon may also make an incision below the chin. The plastic surgeon will then separate the skin from both the fat and the muscle. The plastic surgeon will then tighten, after removing the fat, will tighten the main muscle and membrane, pull the skin back and then remove the excess skin. Stitches then secure the layers of tissue, and the incisions are closed. Depending on your specific case, metal clips may be used on the scalp.
A temporary tube, very small, will usually be placed under the skin, in order to drain any blood that may build up. Typically, your head will be wrapped up in bandages in order to reduce bruising and minimize swelling.

What is Botox?
Botox (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is a non-surgical procedure performed that temporarily reduces frown lines, creases in the forehead, "crows feet" in near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck area. Botox makes your skin smoother, with a more refreshed look. It temporarily prevents the muscles that actually cause wrinkles by blocking the nerve impulses. Botox is also very effective, as found out through studies, to relieve migraine headaches, muscle spasms and even extreme sweating. Most patients are between the ages of 18 and 65 years old and both men and women are good candidates for Botox. It is also important to note that Botox is the only treatment of it type that is approved by the Food and Drug administration(FDA). How risky is plastic surgery?
No matter how skilled, how much experience or how well trained your plastic surgeon is, like generally surgery, plastic surgery carries some risk. This includes infection, bleeding, blood clots, bad reactions to anesthesia, and others. As a patient, it is your responsibility to strictly follow both the pre surgery and post surgery instructions, given to you by your plastic surgeon.
It is also very important that you choose a board certified plastic surgeons, as they are the best trained in the past, and also in the present. They are required to take educational courses to maintain there board certification.
During your consultation, your plastic surgeon will discuss the possible complications with you. Complications are uncommon, but patients typically appreciate the information ahead of time. Because smoking increases the chances of developing a complication and slows the healing process, you will need to stop smoking two weeks before a surgical procedure and for four weeks afterwards.
