About Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation increases the size and shape of a woman"s breasts. Breast augmentation can also correct asymmetrical breasts and improve overall contour. At our facility in Suffolk County, Long Island, the breast augmentation procedure is performed through a small incision at the base of the breast, in the axilla (under the arm), or at the lower part of the areola. The incision may be as small as one inch in length and barely visible. To achieve the most natural and aesthetically pleasing results, existing breast size and shape, overall body dimensions and patient preference are carefully considered before breast augmentation is performed. Newly developed high profile breast implants have proven to reduce visible rippling. They have also become the implant of choice for patients seeking a narrower and a more balanced appearance. For qualifying patients, silicone gel implants may be available.

About Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
A breast lift, also called mastopexy, can correct sagging breasts caused by weight gain followed by weight loss, pregnancy, or nursing. Women who feel self-conscious about drooping breasts, called breast ptosis, may desire firmer, shapelier breasts. A breast lift can also reduce the size of the areola, the colored skin surrounding the nipple. The breast lift procedure, which utilizes minimal incision techniques, is often combined with breast implants to obtain dramatic improvement in breast aesthetics.

About Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
Otherwise known as a "tummy tuck," abdominoplasty can eliminate excess, damaged, or stretched skin resulting from pregnancy or from extreme weight gain and weight loss commonly seen in patients who have undergone gastric bypass surgery. No amount of exercise can restore the skin to its original quality after such damage has occurred. During abdominoplasty, the muscles of the abdomen are tightened to flatten its contour. Striae, or stretch marks of the lower abdomen, may be completely removed with abdominoplasty. When abdominoplasty is combined with liposuction, dramatic changes in body shape can be achieved. While there are many doctors performing abdominoplasty procedures in Long Island, Dr. Landsman"s Suffolk County practice provides the highest level of patient care and surgical precision.
